Life – both inside and outside of study and work can be a source of pressure and stress. Add into the mix the current Covid-19 pandemic, and our lives might seem more pressurizing than ever. However, the good news is that we can better manage the stress that comes our way if we know how.
All of us at Loughborough, whatever role we play, are facing an especially challenging time as we attempt to live and/or provide the high-quality university experience we are used to in this current climate. So, now is as good a time as any to develop the skills we need to recognise and get to grips with stress – in ourselves and others.
This positive and constructive interactive workshop will share with you a highly proven and award-winning approach for setting successful goals – especially for managing stress. -Reflective Goal Setting. Developed at Loughborough by Cheryl, Reflective Goal Setting will help you to:
- Understand what stress means to you,
- Explore your potential sources of stress,
- Gain insight into the impact stress has on you,
- Identify a suitable goal to manage your stress more effectively,
- Draft a plan to go way and out that goal into practice.
There will be some pre-work (nothing too stressful!) to ensure we can maximise the time we have in the workshop. Looking forward to seeing you there.
